Nearly 1,000 children from 48 countries are enjoying football this July at the Ciutat Esportiva
Valencia CF centre-back Mouctar Diakhaby visited the boys and girls attending the fourth session of the Summer Camp, who were delighted by the presence of the French-Guinean defender. He greeted each child individually and was warm, friendly, and approachable throughout the visit.
Chants of “Diakhaby, Diakhaby!” welcomed the defender as he made his way through a guard of honor formed by hundreds of raised hands on the Football 8 Pitch 2 at Valencia CF’s Ciutat Esportiva.
Diakhaby encouraged the children to keep enjoying football and never give up in the face of adversity. A true example of resilience for football fans everywhere, the centre-back returned to action this week in the friendly against CD Eldense after seven months on the sidelines.
KIDS FROM 48 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES
Diakhaby’s visit marks the final stretch of the 2026 Valencia CF Summer Camp, which throughout July has welcomed nearly 1,000 children from 48 countries around the world.
In addition to Diakhaby, players such as Justin de Haas, Ryu Sato and Aliou Dieng have visited the children, along with Valencia CF Femenino players Débora García, Camila Sáez, Carolina Marín, Nazareth Martín, Lucía Moral and Salomé Prat.
