Valencia CF are in the top 5 for Academy graduate selection across the five big leagues

Valencia CF have fielded 34% of players from the VCF Academy over the last 365 days
Valencia CF have moved up into the 'top 5' of the clubs, among the 5 big leagues, for teams who select the most players from the academy.
According to the latest reports from the CIES Football Observatory, a prestigious international website specialising in football data, Valencia CF have fielded 34% of players from the VCF Academy (23-04-2023/23-04-2024). The CIES understands players trained in the clubs who have competed for at least three seasons between the ages of 15 and 21 in that team (excluding non-nationals).
In the 'top 10' of the ranking are: Athletic Club (1st position with 62%), Real Socidead (2nd place with 51%), FC Barcelona (3rd position with 41%), CA Osasuna (4th place with 38%), Valencia CF (5th position with 34%), SC Freiburg and Olympique Lyonnais (6th position with 32%), Le Havre AC, Montpellier HSC and RC Celta Vigo (8th position with 29%).
Said circumstance reflects the work of the VCF Academy. A Valencia Club de Fútbol Academy has established among the best academies in Europe. For the fifth consecutive year, the VCF Academy is included in the top 10 of the best academies on the continent. Furthermore, in the latest CIES Football Observatory October report, the Valencia CF Academy has been ranked as one of the best academies in Europe.
Valencia CF have reached the 4th position, being the best place of the VCF Academy in quantitative terms since the CIES record exists. The number of 29 players competing in the Big 5 is also the highest since these records exist.
