Valencia CF Femenino and Villarreal CF Femenino will play the second leg of the Liga F promotion play-off final in a packed stadium. (Antonio Puchades).
During the regular season of the 2025–26 Primera Federación Iberdrola, Mikel Crespo’s side finished 3rd with 46 points, while Jordi Ferriols’ team ended in 6th place with 38 points.
If the score is level after 90 minutes, a 30-minute extra time period will be played. Should the tie remain level after extra time, Valencia CF Femenino would earn promotion, having finished above Villarreal CF Femenino in the regular season standings.
This season, the two teams have already faced each other five times: Villarreal CF won the III TM Trophy (0-1; August 2025); Valencia CF prevailed in the Copa de la Reina (1-3; September 2025) and on Matchday 10 (1-0; November 2025); Matchday 21 (March 2026) ended 2-2 in Villarreal; and the first leg of the final (May 2026) finished 0-0.
To reach the Liga F promotion play-off final, Valencia defeated CD Alba Fundación in the semi-finals (0-0 and 4-3), while Villarreal overcame CA Osasuna (1-2 and 3-1).
