Friendly triangular tournament of VCF Inclusivo with Special Olympics Kyoto and Levante UD EDI
This Friday at the VCF training ground, following the friendly match played this Tuesday with members of VCF Femenino C.
The VCF Sports City will host a friendly triangular tournament this Friday afternoon between VCF Inclusivo, Levante UD EDI, and Special Olympics Kyoto, a team from Japan consisting of eight boys with intellectual disabilities and three technical staff members. The visit was organized in collaboration with LaLiga Japan.
The VCF Foundation, responsible for VCF Inclusivo, has also organized a tour of the Albufera for Special Olympics Kyoto, which they enjoyed this Tuesday, as well as a Mestalla Tour scheduled for this Friday morning.
Valencia CF, through the VCF Foundation, has been working with the intellectual disability (ID) community in its VCF Inclusivo program since the 2016-17 season. The program includes 65 players with ID, providing them with the opportunity to play football as a powerful tool for personal development and social interaction. The club is always eager to host or participate in events and tournaments that promote inclusion.
In fact, VCF Inclusivo traveled to Korea in November 2022 and to Houston in August 2024 to take part in tournaments that promote the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities through football.
