The Dutch centre back visits children from all over the world training on the pitches of Valencia CF's Ciudad Deportiva
Justin De Haas has been fully embracing his first days as a Valencia CF player and, after meeting his new teammates, getting to know the city, and having his first glimpse of Mestalla, the tall Dutch defender paid a very special visit to the children at the Valencia CF Summer Camp.
The defender greeted each of the more than 200 children in the first of the four sessions of the Valencia CF Summer Camp, and then posed for a group photo. This July, the activity brings together children from 48 different countries.
De Haas thanked the children for their warm welcome and encouraged them to continue enjoying football: “Who knows, maybe one day some of you will be here again as a first team player,” he remarked.
One photograph featured all participants dressed in orange, the colour that represents both Valencia CF and the Netherlands.
This Monday marked the start of a new session of the Valencia CF Summer Camp at the Ciudad Deportiva, which will run throughout July. This seasonal event has been growing steadily for over three decades.
