Valencia CF Juvenil A have finished as runners-up in the Copa de Campeones Juvenil after falling 3-1 in the final against Real Betis in a match where the Valencian youth team was far superior in the first half. They took the lead through Aimar Blázquez and came close to extending their advantage, with Aimar hitting the post and Lucas Núñez striking the crossbar. However, Real Betis equalized in first-half stoppage time and managed to turn the game around in the second half.
This marks the third time Valencia CF Juvenil A have finished as runners-up in a Copa de Campeones tournament, a trophy they last won in the 2006–07 season.

The Valencian youth team started the match with conviction and determination after having eliminated FC Barcelona and Real Madrid in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, respectively. They began by dominating possession and seeking the first chances, with a combination between Jaume Durà and Aimar Blázquez that ended with the Palomar native firing a shot narrowly wide of the post.

That early dominance soon bore fruit with a great play down the right flank by David Otorbi, who crossed for Aimar Blázquez to head home at the far post and score his fourth goal of this Copa de Campeones.

After the goal, Betis tried to push more towards Raúl Jiménez’s goal, with incursions down the flank from Pablo García, who nevertheless found the goalkeeper from Catral equal to the task on his crosses and shots. Defensively, Carlos Alós and Alejandro Panach were flawless in cutting out every offensive action from the Andalusian side.

Valencia CF Juvenil A, playing a bit deeper, looked to exploit the speed of David Otorbi on the counterattack, who continued to cause a lot of damage down the right flank. In one of his moves, Valencia CF nearly doubled their lead with a shot inside the box from Miguel Monferrer that went just wide.
