Foulquier: "We tried everything to get the three points"
The Valencia CF full-back reflects on the draw against RCD Espanyol
Valencia CF right-back Dimitri Foulquier shared his thoughts after the 1–1 draw against RCD Espanyol this Tuesday at Mestalla.
GOOD MATCH
I think even though we were trailing 0-1 at halftime, we were doing well in the first half, controlling the game.
The team played the game it needed to play, and that’s it. Unfortunately, football didn’t let us win today. It is what it is, nothing more, it’s football—we have to keep working, keep improving, and start preparing for the next match.
        GIVING IT ALL
I wouldn’t even call it a reaction, because we were already doing well in the first half. I honestly don’t think the 0-1 scoreline was deserved. We kept doing things right, we improved on a few details, and thanks to that we were able to equalize. We couldn’t win it, but at least we tried everything to get the three points.
        8 GAMES UNBEATEN
In the end, I believe football is fair. We’re working well, we’ve improved a lot, and thanks to that, we’ve been able to pick up a lot of points. Now it’s about continuing, improving where we need to, and keeping on picking up wins and points."
