Guillamón: “We have an important match at home on Saturday"

Assessment of the match

It wasn't to be. It was a difficult match. We knew we were going to suffer, Athletic Club put a lot of pressure on you at their home stadium and the image of the team is what we want to see: We competed and were in the game at all times. We have taken a step forward, but we have to continue working to improve.

The goal just before halftime

We conceded a goal off a move in which we could have done better. They got in on us from the second line, where it's difficult to defend, but the important thing for the team is that they competed until the end and we leave here with that feeling.

The game on Saturday against Villarreal CF

We have started badly: Three games with three defeats is a bad start, but there are 35 games left and we are going to fight until the end. On Saturday we have another opportunity, and this doesn't stop. It's a derby at our home, in front of out fans, and they are going to support us until the end. It is important to feel that encouragement they give us. We are going to fight until the end.
