Hugo Guillamón: "wE WANT TO FINISH ON A HIGH NOTE IN FRONT OF OUR FANS"
Valencia CF midfielder analyses the defeat against Real Sociedad
Valencia CF midfielder Hugo Guillamón has analysed the defeat to Real Sociedad on matchday 36 of LaLiga EA Sports 2023-24.
Match
"We improved in the second half, we hurt them more by having more of the ball, which is what we needed, to wear them down as well, not being on the defensive all the time and we had a few chances like that one from Alberto and some crosses from the side. We tried, but it wasn't possible".
First and second half
"We needed to be calmer on the ball, move them around, wear them down, and not take the ball away from them. In the end, when you win the ball back and lose it very quickly, the only thing you do is tire yourself out and they feel comfortable playing in your half. That's where we took a step forward in the second half. We tried, we played in their half, we had our chances and in the end, that's how we got our chances".
Next match
"We're going to keep going until the end, it's the objective we've had since the start of the season to improve, to compete every weekend, not to give up and that's what we're going to do. We have two games, the next one at home and we want to finish on a high note in front of our fans and the last one at Balaídos will come, but the image we want to give is that of a team that competes every weekend".
