Pepelu spoke to VCF Media after the draw at Mestalla
Pepelu spoke to VCF Media at the end of the match against Rayo Vallecano. The Valencian midfielder analyzed the team's draw (0-0) in Matchday 35 of LaLiga EA Sports 2023-24.
Moments at the game
I think there were different stretches of the match. We had a great start with some chances. Then, we had a stretch in which we weren't so good. But, at the end of the first half, we went back to being ourselves and generating chances. In the second half, it's true that both teams were rocky, afraid to make a mistake. We're left with a bad taste in our mouths, but we have to keep going and that's it.
Lack of success
In previous days we have been more successful. These days it is costing us a little more. But, soccer is a game of streaks. Now the ball is not going in, we are not generating such clear chances as before. The team tries, generates, has energy and we hope that in the next matches we can do it.
Ambition
Few people expected to see us in this position in the standings, but from the beginning we said we wanted to be an ambitious team, with a lot of energy, being brave. Now, we have had a streak of four games in which things are not going well for us, but there are still games left that we are going to face with enthusiasm and hope that we can get that victory.
