Mosquera: "The ball didn't want to go in today"
The Valencia CF centre-back looks at the draw against RCD Mallorca
Valencia CF kept a clean sheet with a very solid defensive showing against RCD Mallorca, as Cristhian Mosquera performed well in the axis of the defence. He talked to VCF Media after the game.
Defensive solidity
It is something that we have been working on since the beginning of the season. We wanted to improve in defence and it is about conceding as few goals as possible, achieving clean sheets -and from there, scoring goals. Today the ball didn't want to go in, but we leave with our heads held high because we tried and we were consistent in defence. Now it's time to think about the next game.
Efforts going unrewarded
We had some chances to try to take advantage of, but today the ball didn't want to go in, whereas in other games it did. Since we didn't win, the fact that we didn't lose is important, and now we're thinking about taking the three points against Granada, which would be three very important points for us.
His individual performance
At this stage of the season, I am feeling very important to the team. I know the responsibility I have and I try to help my teammates. This is a team; we all help each other and contribute and that is reflected on the pitch.
Going game-by-game
We don't have to go crazy with the subject of our objectives. We know what we have been doing well, we are doing well and we have to continue with that same idea from the start of the season, taking things game-by-game. It is important to add points and not lose
