Voro: “The first challenge was to win and be safe. The next is to keep growing"
Ahead of Valencia CF's LaLiga Matchday 36 game against Sevilla FC, caretaker coach Voro González spoke in a pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
Mentality
"We face this game from another perspective, logically, after winning on Sunday, which was what the team needed to get rid of the anxiety and pressure that was reflected on the field of play. Those three points give us the possibility of going out and competing against great opponents. It is a challenge for us to be able to give a good performance against one of the best teams in Spain, who are fighting for the LaLiga title and have arrived in good shape at the end of the season."
The challenge for the final games
"The first challenge was to win the first game to free ourselves from anxiety. The second is for the team to continue growing with the calm that this situation gives us. We want to take as many points as possible and for the team to compete until the end. It is true that at the end of the season, with the difficult year we have had, we have to fight so that the opposite does not happen; we cannot drop our guard.
The team are working well and are committed. The path to follow is to compete and be daring, so that we are in a position to win. We want to stay focused for 90 minutes. We do our job and we have to do our best to give a good showing and make clear that the team have soul."

Sevilla FC
"We are up against opponents who are one of the most difficult of the season. We have not managed to win or score goals against them so far, and we want to be able to put them in trouble. That is our challenge. The focus is not on what has happened so far, but on what we can do tomorrow."
The challenge of improving in the standings
"Historically, Valencia CF have had moments in which they have won LaLiga in recent times, and we have been as the third best team behind Barça and Real Madrid. Valencia CF are a very demanding club and the challenge is to try to compete as well as possible, Sevilla FC are now at the top, and they are doing things very well, just like Atletico Madrid. Should that be something that we look at for inspiration? Yes. It is not easy, but that must be the way due to the demand that Valencia CF have."

The squad
"All of the squad are available. Jason, Cutrone and Christian Rivero have been left out due to tactical reasons."
Cutrone's absence
"We have to choose the squad. It doesn't mean anything; we don't have any players out injured. It is a decision in which we seek to have the best chance of winning depending on the characteristics of the opposition."
Winning away from home again
"We have a game away from home and we want to put together a run of two victories, something that we have not achieved this year. However, the challenge is to compete in every game. In this case we face an opponent in great shape, who are very well organised and strong in attack and defence. It is no coincidence that they have been fighting for the title."
