Visit from Seattle academy and Eagleclaw FC
A group of players from the VCF Academy in Seattle and from Eagleclaw FC experienced a special visit to the Ciudad Deportiva and Valencia. In addition to sporting activities, they also visited the main sights of the city, as well as meeting players Yunus Musah from Valencia CF and Cosette Morché from VCF Femenino.
This group of young players was made up of an Under-17s men's team and a Under-15s women's team, who trained and were able to play matches against Archena FC, FB Alfara del Patriarca and Mislata CFF (affiliated Valencia CF schools).
They were watched by professionals from the VCF Academy, including sessions with the coaching staff of VCF Juvenil A, headed by Paco Cuenca. The youth team were recently crowned champions of the Division de Honor Juvenil, and had notable participation in the Champions Cup and the Copa del Rey. They have also reached the final of the prestigious international competition, the Al Abtal Cup.
The meeting with Musah and Morché added to the enjoyment for the young talents, who were able to get up close with two players with plenty of advice to offer.
“The experience has been fantastic. The training has been good and the facilities are great. I love being a Valencia CF player. It is unique. Meeting Yunus is extraordinary. He is an inspiration to the entire United States,” explained Roman Campos, a player for the VCF Academy in Seattle.
“I loved meeting the coaches and it's a once in a lifetime experience. I have learned a lot and meeting the VCF Femenino players has been great”, says Alexis Meagher, who plays for Eagleclaw FC.
