Following the proposal made to the RFEF Competition Committee to dismiss the case investigating racial abuse made to Mouctar Diakhaby, Valencia CF wish to express that:
1. The club reiterate our full support for Mouctar Diakhaby and continue to believe firmly in his version of events.
2. We are saddened by this proposal and hope that the Competition Committee will be able to clarify what happened during the incident in question.
3. The absence of evidence does not mean that something did not occur as mentioned by the investigating judge, and above all, this is not the way to face the problem of racism in football.
4. It is precisely for this reason that it is necessary for a change to be made to regulations. Valencia CF will continue fighting to promote the creation of new protocols that contribute to eradicating this type of behaviour from football, and that protect the victims of racism in any form.
