VCF Mestalla will compete in a new edition of the Premier League International Cup
An Under-21 competition organized by the Premier League featuring 32 clubs from the Premier League and various countries across Europe
VCF Mestalla will travel to England on Tuesday to take part in the Premier League International Cup, with a first game at the Victoria Road Stadium in Dagenham against West Ham. The competition is a prestigious one for reserve teams, and Chema Sanz' side want to go as far as possible in it.
They are part of Group B alongside VFL Wolfsburg, who they play on October 16th, and will round off the first phase against Brighton & Hove Albion on December 18th at Broadfield Stadium in Crawley.
Second teams from Premier League sides participating are: Arsenal, Blackburn Rovers, Brighton & Hove Albion, Derby County, Everton, Leicester City, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Southampton, Swansea City, West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers. They are joined by a further 12 international teams, including Valencia CF, AS Monaco, Athletic Club, Villarreal, SL Benfica, Feyenoord, Paris Saint Germain, GNK Dinamo Zagreb, FC Porto, Hertha BSC, VFLWolfsburg and PSV Eindhoven.
The squad chosen for the trip are Emilio Bernad, Carlos Manuel Pérez, José Pascual Alba ‘Pascu’, Javi Jiménez, Hugo Guillamón, David Castro, Antonio García, Carlos Pérez, Xavi Estacio, Pablo Jiménez, Guillem Molina, Vicente Esquerdo, Adrián Guerrero, Sergio Moreno, Alfred Planas, Carlos González, Jordi Sánchez and Noha Ndombassi.
