VCF Mestalla faces Brighton FC at the Premier League International Cup

VCF Mestalla will face Brighton and Hove Albion FC on Wednesday October 4 in the second round of the Premier League International Cup, an international U21 competition organized by the Premier League and in which 12 teams from England and other 12 teams from countries such as Spain, Germany, France, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Wales, Croatia and Portugal will participate.
The Valencianista 'B' team travels to England traveled yesterday and will face Brighton and Hove Albion FC tonight at the American Express Elite Football Performance Center.
"We have a good game in Brighton against an opponent we already know from last year" recognizes Angulo who recalls that last season VCF Mestalla eliminated Brighton in the 1/4 finals in a hard-fought match that was defined in the last minute of extra time.
The tournament
The 24 participating teams are divided into 3 groups of 8 teams, and in each group there are 4 teams from the Premier League and 4 teams from other countries that in this initial phase only face teams from the Premier League.
The first and second placed teams from each group plus the two best third-placed teams will qualify for the Quarter-Finals which, like all knockout rounds, will be played as a single match.
