MATCH PREVIEW | VCF Mestalla looking for a win against Leicester City to change the dynamic

A draw against CF La Nucia this past Saturday takes VCF Mestalla into the winter break for Grupo III-B of the Segunda Division B on a streak of three consecutive games unbeaten, as the team gradually turn their good performances into result.
The squad for the second team has a youthful look this season, with 8 players still elegible to play at Juvenil level but featuring regularly for VCF Mestalla: Jesús Vázquez, Facu González, Hugo González, Pedro Alemañ, Fran Pérez, Iván Muñoz, José David and David Ruiz. They are the side with the most players of Juvenil age used in all of Segunda B, as a youth-first policy continue across the VCF Academy setup.
In their 8 matches played so far, VCF Mestalla have a record of 1 win, 5 draws and 2 defeats, adding up to 8 points. They are currently close to the fight for promotion to Segunda B Pro/Primera División RFEF, a new competition that has been developed by the Spanish federation.
With the exception of a loss to league leaders UD Ibiza at the Antonio Puchades, VCF Mestalla have challenged for victory in every fixture so far, drawing against Atzeneta UE, Peña Deportiva, Hércules CF, Villarreal CF B and CF La Nucía.

The competition resumes on January 10th, with a match against Deportivo Alcoyano that concludes the first half of the season.
