VCF Mestalla average age is 19.9 years old
Youth and talent are the cornerstones of a rejuvenated VCF Mestalla side who will play their first official game this Saturday. The 22 players that make up the second team squad have an average age of 19.9 years old, with a large number born after 2000.
Several players have made their debuts for the Valencia CF first team, including Esquerdo (born in 1999), Alex Blanco (1998) and Yunus (2002).
The average age lowers to 19.9 years including VCF Juvenil players who will feature for VCF Mestalla over the course of the season, such as Fran Pérez (2002), Hugo González (2003) and Pedro Alemañ (2002). Other young talents such as Carles Aliberch (2002), Facundo (2003), Charly (2002) and César Tárrega (2002) have been regulars for VCF Mestalla in preseason.
VCF Mestalla have also brought in new players in key positions with experience, such as Eduardo Mingotes (1996), Unai Extebarria (1996), Kevin Sibille (1998), Facu García (1999) and Stephane Emaná (1994). The intention is to help the growth process for the younger members of the squad.
Seventeen of the 22 squad members -80%- have already been part of the VCF Academy in previous seasons.
