VCF lose versus Getafe CF and it will be decided at Mestalla (1-0)
Valencia CF played versus Getafe CF in the quarter-finals first leg of the Copa del Rey at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez at 9.30 pm kick-off time (CET).
Valencia CF had a great start with plenty of possession and trying to score from the start Kang In had the first opportunity for Valencia CF a left-footed shot that went too high. Both teams exchanged superiority throughout the first half which ended scoreless at half-time.
Marcelino introduced Rodrigo Moreno for Santi Mina from the dressing room and the second half started in a similar way as the first one. Daniel Wass had the first chance for Valencia CF in the second half with a free kick which went high.
Jorge Molina made 1-0 to Getafe CF in the 76th minute of the match. Valencia CF tried to come back but the match between Getafe CF and Valencia CF finished 1-0. Valencia CF will try to get another Cup comeback next Tuesday at Mestalla. Valencia CF will play versus Villarreal CF in the regional derby.
