VCF Juvenil B played the Youngster Cup in Berlin, Germany, this past weekend, participating in an international tournament that featured an outstanding selection of European clubs from Germany (Bayern Munich, Union Berlin, Hertha Berlin, Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg) , France (PSG), Holland (PSV Eindhoven), Denmark (Brondby). They would eventually place in fourth position after reaching the semifinals.
The team led by José Luis Bravo finished first in Group I, beating Brondby 0-3 and losing to FC Union Berlin. In the semifinals, Hertha Berlin, who would go on to win the tornament, bested VCF Juvenil B 0-2, whilst defeat in a penalty shootout following a 2-2 with PSV Eindhoven in the third place playoffs gave the side a final position of fourth.
VCF Juvenil B continue to accumulate experience in international tournaments, after having previously taken part in the Al Abtal International Cup last season.
