VCF Femenino finish league season in ninth place

The team lose 1-3 to Real Sociedad

VCF Femenino lost to Real Sociedad on the final day of the Liga Iberdrola season, meaning that they ended the campaign in ninth place.

The visiting side took the lead in the second minute, through Sarriegui, and the Basque team were able to hold onto the advantage throughout the contest.

VCF Femenino responded with crosses from Esther on the left wing, but neither Marcos nor Bautista were able to convert the balls in.

Before the break, Real Sociedad made it 0-2 thanks to a strike from Franssi.

La Real held back and tried to hit on the counter in the second half, whilst VCF Femenino lacked precision on their final ball.

On 79 minutes, Real Sociedad made it 0-3 with a Sarriegui goal -her second of the afternoon.

Aguado scored VCF Femenino's final goal of the season, off a Torradà corner, and Bonsegundo had an effort saved soon after as the game ended 1-3.

VCF Femenino conclude the season with 44 points.
