Valencia CF Academy gets recognition at a sports gala
Diario Sport and LaLiga present VCF's Alevín A with an award for their behavior in last season’s LaLiga FC Futures
Ramón Mompó, Head of Coaching for the VCF Academy Programs, and Aitor Bas, Head of Methodology for the VCF Academy Goalkeeping Department, have been in the towns of Fous De Foot (Greece) and Nicosia (Cyprus) this past week, continuing the work that the VCF Soccer Academies have been undertaking in the respective locations since 2017.
The various international projects provide tools for the development of the players, as well as the acquisition of the values of sport. The VCF Academy has adapted its actions over the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but continues to enjoy success in countries around the world.
Mompó states that “We saw a good level of talent in general. Our intention is to be close to the VCF Soccer Academies with different visits throughout the remainder of the season. The coaches in Greece have adapted correctly to the philosophy of the VCF Academy.”
"In Cyprus you feel a very Valencian atmosphere, where everything helps you feel at home. There is a lot of grassroots talent, so we are seeing a successful program being carried out."
Bas adds that “It is a pleasure to be able to collaborate on a huge international project such as our VCF Soccer Academies. This is my fourth experience participating in their Elite Campuses. Undoubtedly, these types of events perfectly exemplify a firm commitment to improving their footballers, prioritising the training of their coaches."
