Valencia CF to compete in LaLiga FC Futures International tournament
The U13 team won the tournament on its latest edition.
The VCF Academy this week participated in the sixth annual Youth Systems Meeting by LaLiga, established with the aim of periodically bringing together the heads of top flight youth teams to exchange information and ideas.
Present on behalf of the VCF Academy were Luis Martínez, Director of Operations, and Marco Otero, Technical Director. In the meeting, LaLiga presented a National Plan For Optimisation And Improvement Of Youth Systems, with the aim of accelerating the growth of Spanish football and emphasising aspects such as investment in technology and infrastructure.
The VCF Academy is one of the best Academies in Spain and Europe. For the third consecutive year, it has been included in the Top 10 in Europe. The CIES Football Observatory has named the club’s youth system sixth both for quantitative values (number of players trained competing in the elite) and qualitative values (according to the Training Index that measures the level of the clubs, age and participation).
