Vallejo: "The perception that I had of Valencia CF from outside the club was seen today"
Manu Vallejo broke the deadlock late on against Celta Vigo, scoring his fifth league goal of the season in stoppage time. The Andalusian striker reflected on his supersub performance after the final whistle, in conversation with VCF Media.
"I think that we had a good game. We fought to the end. Things went in our favour with the sending off, but it isn't easy to play when you are a man up," he said of the win over a 10-man Celta Vigo side.
"The perception that I had of Valencia CF from outside the club was seen today: A team who play to the end, who believe until the end and go at the opposition. The victory today is dedicated to the fans, who can't be here with us. This was our concept for the team: Pushing until the end, and trying to win every game."

"It was a very important win. I'd been working hard to get back into the team after 3.5 months out injured. Every day in my mind I was thinking about coming back and playing a home game. It was really good."
Vallejo came on late in the game and had a big impact, and he said that "Obviously I want to play, because any player who says that they don't want to start is lying, but whatever my role, I want to help the team in the best way possible."
