The Mestalla Stadium opens its doors once again for Valencia CF training after Christmas
Fans will be able to support the team during the session on Monday, December 29, at 11:30 a.m.
Valencia CF fly to Switzerland this Friday to begin a preseason training camp, which will run from July 15th-July 23rd. In it, coach Gennaro Gattuso will work with a total of 28 players, and the team will play three friendly games. The first fixture comes on Monday, July 18th, at 7:00pm at the Cashpoint Arena in Altach (Austria), against Borussia Dortmund; the second, on Wednesday July 20th against FC St. Gallen 1879, at 7:00pm at the Stadium Buechenwald in Gossau (Switzerland), before a match on Saturday, July 23rd at 3:30pm against VFB Stuttgart at the Mercedes –Benz Arena.
The 28 players chosen for this trip to Switzerland are goalkeepers Jaume Doménech, Jasper Cillessen, Giorgi Mamardashvili and Cristian Rivero, outfield players Thierry Correia, Toni Lato, Yunus Musah, Gabriel Paulista, Hugo Guillamón, Gonçalo Guedes, Uros Racic, Maxi Gómez, Carlos Soler, Mouctar Diakhaby, José Luis Gayà, Samu Castillejo, Koba Lein, Hugo Duro, Dimitri Foulquier, Manu Vallejo, Marcos André and Eray Cömert, and six homegrown talents: Jesús Santiago, Rubén Iranzo, Facu González, Jesús Vázquez, Cristhian Mosquera and Fran Pérez.
Since the start of preseason on July 5th, the coaching staff have worked with the players with maximum intensity, including double sessions at the Ciudad Deportiva. The intention is to be as fit as possible going into the first LaLiga game of the season, against Girona at Mestalla.
