Corberán: “It’s time to compete and to give our all”

On Tuesday, May 3rd, a working meeting between the Generalitat Valenciana and Valencia CF took place at the Palau de la Generalitat, in which the club explained the keys to the new stadium project to representatives of the Ministry of Territorial Policy, Public Works and Mobility, the Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Commerce and Labour and the Valencian Institute of Finance.
After presenting the necessary documentation for initial registration on March 8th, the club continue to work together with the administration with the aim of taking steps forward and resuming the construction of the stadium as soon as possible.
Valencia CF have shown a willingness to seek all possible solutions through collaborative work with the institutions involved. Attending the meeting was a large representation from the club, led by President Anil Murthy, accompanied by Joey Lim, Executive Director and Board Member, Germán Cabrera, Secretary of the Board of Directors, Inma Ibáñez, Financial Director, Christian Schneider, Director of Operations and Infrastructures, and Jorge García, Commercial and Marketing director.
Also present, supporting the Valencia CF project were LaLiga, represented by Roberto Bermúdez de Castro and Jaime Blanco from their presidential cabinet, and Mark Fenwick and Salvador Alonso from Fenwick Iribarren Architects, the group responsible for the design of the stadium.
At the conclusion of the meeting, which unified views on a project with general interest for the city of Valencia, Mr. Murthy spoke of his "optimism" to the media and underlined the "total predisposition" of both parties to continue making progress. “It is time to finish it; it is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the new stadium,” he expressed.
After this meeting, Valencia CF will soon hold further meetings with administrations, with the intention of resuming work on the project in the shortest possible timeframe.
