Valencia CF, in collaboration with Chiliz, the leading company in blockchain solutions for the football industry, will this weekend become the first Spanish club to launch NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) of a football match through the Socios.com app.
The launch will take place on Sunday, in the LaLiga game between Valencia CF and Atletico Madrid at the Mestalla at 4.15pm. The iconic moment for Valencia CF and the club's fans will be captured by a photographer and turned into a limited edition run of 100 NFTs.
These non-fungible tokens will be delivered to the first fans who have at least 10 $VCF Fan Tokens and correctly predict the outcome of the match through the “Predictor” function of the Socios.com app.
These NFTs, which can be marketed in different digital marketplaces, will not only help fans to capture and collect emblematic moments, but will also be exchangeable for official club products, tickets, VIP experiences, etc. through the Socios.com app.
Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Chiliz and Socios.com: “We are very excited about this launch. The inaugural experience with AC Milan was a resounding success, and it showed that fans are eager to be offered new tools and opportunities to interact with their teams in creative and innovative ways. I am sure that with Valencia CF it will also be a great success and that the launch will further strengthen the usefulness of the $VCF Fan Token.”
“These NFTs open up many opportunities for fans. Not only do they allow them to capture, own and collect iconic moments from the history of their team, but they can also later be exchanged for club products and experiences."
