??? Valencia CF continue to grow digitally and are now the football club with the 47th most followers on social networks

The Valencia CF digital community now exceeds six million fans. A standout aspect is the strategy used on Chinese social network Sina Weibo.

Valencia CF continue growing on social networks and, as part of the digital transformation process, their strategic commitment to the Chinese social network Sina Weibo is already producing results, reaching 518,000 fans. This allows Valencia CF to stand 47th in the world ranking of clubs with the most followers, with a digital community that now exceeds 6 million followers according to a study undertaken this month by ‘Digital Sports Media’ of 15 social media platforms.

The five main social networks used by football clubs are Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Sina Weibo (exclusive to China), on which Valencia CF focus their efforts to continue growing their digital community. Sina Weibo, according to the study, is the preferred social network for football fans in China to follow both local and European clubs. Valencia CF's commitment to this social network is beginning to be reflected, with an increase from 69,000 fans to 518,000 highlighted in ‘Digital Sports Media’ last summer.

Another strategic move this season has been the launch of two official apps. With the Valencia CF App, all fans in any part of the world have direct access to exclusive content, can enjoy VCF MEDIA TV streams, find out the latest news, listen to VCF MEDIA Radio, buy tickets easily and quickly, benefit from exclusive promotions... and new features will be continually added, creating a unique experience for fans. Undoubtedly, this is a step forward within the digital transformation so that the club's communication with fans is personalised and direct, through its own media.

The Official Centenary App allows all users to learn about Valencia CF history through unique, previously unseen documents, as well as enjoy 'Passeig 1919' - with which they can experience the club's heritage through emotional stories, audio and video.

One of the keys to the growth in the number of fans in the Valencia CF digital community has been, within a global strategic plan, creating specific content for each region and adapting it to the tastes of each audience, according to their culture -as is happening in Asia and the Arabic community, which are areas considered strategically important for growth by the club.

Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Manchester United are currently the clubs with the most fans on social platforms, with Valencia CF rising to 47th in the global ranking.
