History:
Valencia CF U19’s will open their UEFA Youth League campaign against Chelsea U19’s at Cobham Training Ground at 1 pm BST 2 pm (CET). These two sides have only met one time in the UEFA Youth League in a 1-1 draw in regulation time where Chelsea FC went ahead through a Jay Dasilva tap-in on 43 minutes and two minutes later Carlos Soler brought VCF U19’s back on level terms from the spot on the stroke of halftime after Rafa Mir was bundled over inside the box by Collins.
The game went to penalties and Valencia CF U19’s had their second spot-kick wrongly disallowed by the Referee as Alberto Gil effort inside the right-hand post had gone in. Tammy Abraham scored the winner as Chelsea U19’s went through 5-3 on penalties and amidst controversy.
Angulo’s side will be looking for an upturn in their fortunes this time round by chiseling out a positive result against Andy Myers’ side.
