Noah Higón Bellver has become an inspiration in the fight against rare diseases. The Valencianista has been diagnosed with seven such conditions, and through social media has been able to raise awareness to something often not seen by society.
On World Rare Disease Day, she received a surprise call from Valencia CF's Toni Lato. The club had previously sent Noah a shirt signed by the entire squad, accompanied by a card from president Anil Murthy.
Noah was very grateful for the support received, saying "I want to thank you for recognising those with rare diseases. I'm sure that there are many more Valencianistas who have them, who feel more united with you because of what you are doing. I feel tremendously grateful."
"I was born a Valencianista. I remember when we won LaLiga in 2002, and when we lost the Champions League final. Those are 'flashes' that I have in my head. This is more than a feeling: It's a way of life. I'm looking forward to coming back to Mestalla and cheering the team on."
Lato extended an invitation for Noah to come and visit the team when the global pandemic allows, and expressed his admiration for a Valencianista who is an example to all.
