Three Valencia CF players have been named in the Spain squad for the first qualifying phase for Euro 2020, announced on Friday afternoon. Dani Parejo is back for La Roja, accompanied by Rodrigo Moreno and José Luis Gayà.
The first game during the upcoming series of international fixtures takes place at Mestalla on March 23rd, pitting Spain against Norway at 8:45pm local time.
For Parejo, this is his first call-up under coach Luis Enrique. He last appeared for Spain in his unofficial debut, against Argentina in a friendly won 6-1. The current coach has picked Rodrigo and Gayà in each of his squads since taking charge.
Three days after the game at Mestalla, they play Malta in Ta’Qali at 8:45pm local time, in another qualifying game.
In-form Gonçalo Guedes is part of the Portugal squad for their European Championship qualifiers, which see them face Ukraine on March 22nd and Serbia on March 25th. Both games will be held in Lisbon.
Guedes has scored in Valencia CF's last two matches, against Girona in LaLiga and FC Krasnodar in the UEFA Europa League.
Carlos Soler has been chosen by Spain Under-21s coach Luis de la Fuente for friendly matches against Romania (March 21st, 6:45pm, Granada) and Austria (March 25th, 6:45pm, Algeciras).
