Three goals for Guedes against weekend opponents Betis

The Portuguese has had more shooting success against the Andalusian side than any other in LaLiga

Gonçalo Guedes missed Valencia CF's first match against Real Betis this season through injury, but has a history of strong performances against the Andalusian outfit. The midfielder has racked up three goals against this weekend's opposition -the most of any opposition side in LaLiga.

Betis are also one of two teams to have been beaten by a side featuring Guedes on the most occasions, with four wins for the Portuguese's team from five encounters. They are level only with Deportivo Alavés in this regard.

His first time playing against Betis was on October 15th, 2017. In that game he struck a stunning rightfooted shot from over 30 metres out, sending the ball flying into the top corner. That night, he would also provide an assist in a game that ended 3-6.

Last season, in his most recent game against the southern Spanish side, he was the scorer of a brace in a 1-2 win at the Benito Villamarin. The Portuguese international opened with a first half goal, then after the restart blasted his second in from distance.

Playing an increasing number of minutes and returning to full fitness, Gonçalo Guedes has another strong display against Betis in his sights this Saturday at Mestalla (KO 4pm CET).
