Jesús Vázquez inspires the boys and girls at the Valencia CF Summer Camp
The Valencia CF left-back, who recently renewed his contract, reminded the kids that he too once took part in the club’s Summer Camps.
The Valencia CF Academy continues to grow. For the fifth consecutive year, the VCF Academy is in the Top 6 in Europe among the academies with the most trained players competing in the 5 major leagues: England, Spain, Germany, Italy and France, according to the CIES Fotball Observatory 2023 Report.
The VCF Academy is placed fourth in Europe with 29 players competing in the Big 5, which is its best position since the CIES historical series exists and 29 is its highest number of trained players competing in the Big 5 Leagues. This good figure for 2023 confirms the trend and growth of the last seasons.
Historically, Valencia CF and the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna have been a breeding ground for great players and since 1992 there have been 113 players who have debuted in an official match with the first team having previously played at least at VCF Mestalla.
The statistics of these CIES reports show the positive evolution in recent years that have led VCF Mestalla to consolidate its position in the top 10 and to always be very close to the top 5, competing with clubs such as Real Madrid CF, FC Barcelona, Ol. Lyon, PSG or Manchester United.
