"The I VCF Academy World Cup is a new opportunity for the VCF Academy to continue growing internationally"
Some 150 children under the age of 12, across 10 teams from 8 countries, will gather at the Ciudad Deportiva from June 23rd-26th for the first edition of a tournament featuring representatives from America, Asia, Africa and Europe: The VCF Academy World Cup.
“The VCF Academy World Cup is a new opportunity for the VCF Academy to continue growing internationally” explains Luis Martínez, Director of Operations.
“Bringing together the teams from our VCF Soccer Academies -and from the clubs with which we have strategic alliances- in a single tournament will allow us to strengthen ties with all of them, and at the same time will provide a boost to expand the number of clubs or entities that want to join the VCF Academy.”
The children, family members and coaches of the teams participating in the VCF Academy World Cup will have the opportunity to play at the Ciudad Deportiva and take in the working methodology of the VCF Academy, one of the best in Europe in training players for the elite according to the latest reports from the CIES Football Observatory.
“We also want to show that we are an academy open to establishing relationships and alliances that allow us to grow, and also help all those who want to follow the work model that we follow at the Ciudad Deportiva,” adds Martínez.
Training camp
In addition to participating in the VCF Academy World Cup, the players from America, Asia, Europe and Africa will have the opportunity to enjoy a week of training at the facilities, as well as a football and cultural experience in Valencia learning about Mestalla and different emblematic places in Valencia.
The VCF Academy World Cup is intended to be held every season and grow, edition after edition, in terms of participation and profile.
