Symbolic armband against racism on each empty seat in Grada de Animación
The Grada de Animación at Mestalla will remain closed for this Friday's match against UD Las Palmas and for the Matchday 3 match against CA Osasuna, due to a sanction imposed on Valencia CF last season.
The club consider this sanction unfair and have taken their defence to court, although they recently received communication that the requested measure will not be resolved until both matches have been played. Valencia CF are disappointed that this section of fans cannot cheer on the team in these two games.
As a show of solidarity with the fans at the Grada de Animación and to reiterate that Valencia CF and the fans are not racist, the club have decided to place an armband that LaLiga has distributed to clubs -to raise awareness against racism and violence in all its forms within its 'LaLiga VS' campaign- on every seat in the stand.
Valencia CF condemn racism and violence in all forms, assume their role of raising awareness to prevent racist insults and, in addition, this season will carry out public actions that will be announced shortly with the aim of contributing to educate and act against racism, as well as against other types of behaviour that have no place in society.
