Soler: "We want to win away from home next time out"

Others would perhaps have been reluctant to take a penalty after a previous miss from the spot, but Carlos Soler once again showed his character on LaLiga Matchday 33 to step up against Real Betis. After his equaliser, the midfielder talked to VCF Media pitchside at the Benito Villamarín.
"We knew that we were coming to a difficult ground. In 2021 Betis have played very well, which is why they are where they are in the table. They are playing well and are very strong at home. In the first half they had two chances from set pieces and went ahead twice, whilst we had our goal and a few other chances," he said of the opening half.
"I think that we came out well for the second half, and managed to win the penalty. We had opportunities to make it 2-3 from counterattacks. They also pushed at the end and had a couple of clear chances. In the end, I think that a draw is a fair result; we will try to win the next game against Osasuna, because we want to win away from home."
As for his own contribution against Betis, Soler commented that: "We are a team and we need everybody. We need our teammates to do well, and I think that we are doing that. We all have to contribute. I think that we have a good group, and that we are all united."
