Carlos Soler was decisive again in Valencia CF's win against Real Valladolid on LaLiga Matchday 35. He set up Maxi Gómez for the second goal of the game, just after halftime, and racked up his seventh assist of the season.
That places him amongst the Top 10 in the league for assists, and 7 in 29 appearances makes it 0.24 per game on average for the VCF Academy product.
Only nine players in LaLiga have more assists than Soler: Iago Aspas (11, Celta), Kroos (10, Real Madrid), Llorente (10, Atletico), Denis Suárez (9, Celta), Messi (9, FC Barcelona), De Frutos (8, Levante UD), Karim Benzema (8, Real Madrid), Ángel Correa (8, Atletico) and Carrasco (8, Atletico).
The assist for Gómez was his first from open play, as his previous six have come from 5 corners and 1 free kick, respectively.
In terms of his own finishing skills, Soler, has scored 9 goals this season.
