Rodrigo: "We took a step forward in the second half and deserved the victory"

Rodrigo Moreno set up the assist for Maxi Gómez to score the winning goal against Espanyol on Matchday 12. It was his fourth assist of the season, and the striker spoke after the game to analyse the showing at the RCDE Stadium.
The game
"We knew that wins in LaLiga are very difficult to come by, especially away from home. Espanyol came into this one off a negative run and gave their all at the start, and maybe we lacked a little intensity in the first half. We did create some dangerous situations, but we lacked a little bit of precision. We came out for the second half with a better attitude and deserved the victory."
A game of two halves
"We lacked a little intensity in the opening minutes. We had close chances, such as that which Cheryshev had, but we couldn't finish our opportunities. Our crosses from the wings fell short and we couldn't get shots away. In the second half our attitude was much better, we took a step forward and got a very important victory."
His position on the pitch
"With Celades, just like when Marcelino was coach but maybe more so now, I'm playing more as a supporting striker or a third central midfielder. If I don't, then we lack a link between the midfield, the defence and the attack. I try to do the best I can for the team. This was a good game for everyone, and a great showing by Maxi. Dani took a great penalty and we're delighted with the victory."
