The Valencia CF full-back, recovered from his anterior cruciate ligament tear, returned to competition against FC Barcelona at the Estadi Johan Cruyff
What is good news for Valencia CF is an ominous sign for midweek opponents Getafe CF. Rodrigo Moreno is a striker with a great record for goals against 'Los Azulones', and they are the side who have been on the receiving end of the most goals from him in Spanish football.
Since Rodrigo touched down at Mestalla in the summer of 2014 he has found the net on five occasions against Getafe, and he wants to add to that tally this Wednesday on Matchday 6 of the league campaign.
It was Getafe who conceded the first goal scored by the VCF number 9 in LaLiga, in the fourth game of the 2015/15 campaign, and since then he has been a persistent thorn in the side of the team coached by Pepe Bordalás. His most recent goals against them were a phenomenal hat trick in the Copa del Rey, including two stoppage time strikes that took Valencia CF through to the semifinals.
As of late, Rodrigo has participated in three goals for his club in the space of eight days: He set up Kevin Gameiro against FC Barcelona, scored the only goal of the game against Chelsea, and won the penalty converted by Dani Parejo against Leganés. All that after an international break in which he scored twice against the Faroe Islands with Spain.
