Lucas Núñez: “Staying at Valencia CF is a privilege”
Interview with Lucas Núñez after renewing his contract with VCF Mestalla
A small group of VCF Academy teams will return to action as only three 11-a-side teams will be in action at the weekend : VCF Mestalla, VCF Juvenil A and VCF Juvenil B.
The rest of 11-a side teams have postponed their respective meetings due to the rough wintery weather conditions whereas all 8-a-side teams have ceased their activity following a Conselleria resolution due to the health situation at present time.
Valencia CF Mestalla will return to action almost a month later from their latest meeting. Óscar Fernández side will welcome near-neighbours Deportivo Alcoyano at the Antonio Puchades where they will look to stretch their three-match unbeaten run and hit the ground running in 2021.
They will be up against Deportivo Alcoyano who are sitting pretty in the upper echelons of the group as they are coming into the game off the back of a Copa del Rey upset against Spanish top-flight opposition SD Huesca.
Saturday afternoon will see a double header with both Juvenil sides in action. Juvenil will welcome Torre Levante at 4:30 pm at Cuidad Deportiva following a series of fixture suspensions as of late. Miguel Ángel Angulo’s side have three games in hand.
Juvenil B will visit Celtic Elche on Saturday at 5 pm kick-off time which will see José Luis Bravo’s debut in the dugout following Rubén Sellés departure to Danish professional football.
It will be their final matchday of the first term of the season. Juvenil B are solitary leaders with 19 goals in favour and only one against after eight games played in group VIII B.
