Mikel Crespo, new coach of VCF Femenino
The Basque coach brings experience in women's football in Spain, having guided Deportivo Alavés to promotion to the top tier during the 2020-21 season
The Primera Iberdrola 2021/22 season starts for Andrea Esteban's VCF Femenino on Sunday, September 5th, with a 4pm CEST kickoff at Zubieta against Real Sociedad.
'La Real' were the team's opponents on the last matchday of last season, in which they lost 1-3 with Júlia Aguado scoring for VCF Femenino. On their last visit to Zubieta, the game ended in a 2-2 draw - Bea Beltrán finding the net twice.
VCF Femenino finished in ninth position in the 2020/21 season. Real Sociedad were in fifth place.
The VCF squad is made up of the following players: Enith Salón, Noelia Gil, Berta Pujadas, Bea Beltrán, Marta Carro, Paula Guerrero, Iina Salmi, Candela Andújar, Asun Martínez, Dominika Čonč, Esther Martín-Pozuelo, Ellen Jansen, Oriana Altuve , Kerlly Real, Noelia Villegas, Anna Torrodà, Olga San Nicolás and Ainhoa Alguacil.
