Óscar Fernández: “We’ve got to stop, think and continue to improve many things towards the next group stage"
VCF Mestalla head coach, Óscar Fernández assessed the slim loss away to CD Alcoyano as well as the new group stage that the b team will participate in.
“We wanted to take all three points and overall we aren’t doing things well, this game encapsulates the whole season. We create chances but we aren’t taking them and they make us pay at the other end.
Now, there’s a break coming up for us to grow, get psyched up again ahead of the meetings against the four teams coming out of each group into this new one.
We’ve got to try to pick up as many available points as possible. We’ve got to stop, think and carry on working to improve many things towards the next group stage”.
