VCF Femenino have appointed Irene Ferreras as the club's new coach, ahead of the 2019/20 season.
The 30-year-old, who coached Rayo Vallecano to 12th in her first top flight managerial role in LaLiga Iberdrola in 2018/19, also has previous experience with Rayo Vallecano B and La Solana in the Segunda División.

Ferreras is a former goalkeeper, having represented both Rayo Vallecano and Atletico Madrid at professional level.

"I didn't have to think much about the decision. Coming to as big a club as Valencia CF was a dream for me," said Ferreras after her appointment was made official.
"This is a team with character. I ask that the fans come out to support the team; it's important that we walk together and that we believe in this project, because we are going to give our utmost to perform at the level that Valencia CF deserve."
