Official Statement I Valencia CF-RCD Espanyol match
Following the announcement of new sanitary restrictions agreed this Wednesday by the Interterritorial Council of the Spanish National Health System, Valencia CF wish to express that:
1. The new measures will not come into force until January 1st, and as such will not be in place for Valencia CF's match on December 31 against RCD Espanyol at Mestalla.
2. In the match against RCD Espanyol, the current regulations from previous matches will be maintained. From Valencia CF we appeal to prudence as we remind our fans to make a proper usage of the face mask at all times and that eating inside the stadium will not be permitted and only drinking water will be permitted.
3. The new restrictions will, from January 1st, reduce capacity to a maximum of 75% in outdoor venues. Taking into account that Mestalla has a total capacity of 49,430 people, the 75% that has been set as a ceiling by the health authorities represents 37,000 people.
4. Valencia CF currently have 32,000 season ticket holders. All Valencia CF season ticket holders will be able to use their season ticket against RCD Espanyol, as well as all those who have bought their individual tickets.
5. The club will duly inform fans on how we shall proceed with the coming matches on the calendar.
