Diego López: "I'm very happy for the boys and girls who will get to enjoy this beautiful football field at the Sedaví Municipal Sports Center"
The Valencia CF winger spoke to the media following the inauguration of the new sports facility.
Valencia CF presented FC Barcelona with the commemorative Ninot for the LaLiga Matchday 34 meeting between the two sides, continuing the 'Sempre Falles' tradition that has taken place at every home game this season in conjunction with the Ayuntamiento city council.
Valencia CF president Anil Murthy met with FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta to hand over the souvenir from the game, designed by artist Mario Pérez Sánchez.
The Ninot shows Valencia CF's ties with the city of Valencia, with a 'Fallera' carrying the club mascot in her arms. To represent FC Barcelona, a child dressed in 'blaugrana' is alongside her. Likewise, two of the emblematic monuments of the two cities are also featured: The Miguelete in Valencia and the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.
Part of the 'Sempre Valencia' campaign launched by the club, the 'Sempre Falles' initiative aims to give visibility to the work of the Fallas artists' union -one of the groups most severely affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
