Musah: "The final should serve as a starting point for the derby"
Yunus Musah talked to VCF Media this week about last Saturday's Copa del Rey final, bouncing back after the penalty shootout defeat, and preparing for this weekend's derby against Levante in LaLiga.
Recovered after the final
"It's been a while since the final. We were all hurt, but we already felt better when we got back to training. We feel that this is a starting point for what this team can do. We know what we can achieve."
The penalty miss
"It didn't go the way I wanted and it hurts a lot, but when I went back to training everybody supported me a lot. Now we're focusing on what's coming up. It's time to learn and continue."
The support of the fans
"When things like this happen, players go through a difficult time, but here the fans have supported us a lot. That tells you about the values of Valencia CF. The team and the fans are together, in the good times and the bad. We wanted to win the cup and bring it back to Mestalla. It hurt us a lot not to get that after so much work, but the fans have supported us a lot and we want to do something to make them happy. I have had a lot of support in the moments in which I needed it most . I appreciate it so much."
Focusing on the derby
"This doesn't stop. On Saturday we have a derby and we want to win it. We want to have a good game. We have to continue. The final is over and we are already focused on the next game. In the final we had a great showing and it should serve as a starting point for Saturday. We have to maintain the good things that we did in the final and learn what we can do better. It was an experience, we'll improve and grow for the next time. We want to do our best until the end of the season. This team are going to give everything."
