Mestalla bursts in happiness after clinching a fantastic week

It was not going to be an easy match, but this Valencia CF have reached the decisive stage of the season in an excellent state of form. And the fans of Mestalla again recognized the great effort of their players, getting to perform the Mexican wave in the final stretch of the match to celebrate the victory.

When Kevin Gameiro scored 2-0 in the 88th minute of the game, Valencia CF fans were aware that the the three points was going to stay in the Mestalla and burst with joy, chanting with force two chants that sounded strong the other night. On Thursday after certifying the classification for the final of the Copa del Rey on May 25: "Illa, illa, illa, we're going to Seville" and "Mestalla wants the Cup, Mestalla wants the Cup".

With this victory against Athletic (2-0) a fantastic week was closed at the Valencian Coliseum and the fans at the stands sang in unison the regional anthem of the Comunitat Valenciana, some very emotional moments where many people got goosebumps, before the explosion of joy that came when the referee signaled the end of the game with a new victory that leads Valencia CF to 7th place in LaLiga.
