Match Report: VCFF fight back twice to beat SD Eibar in final game of 2020 (4-2)

Asun at the double, Salmi and Jansen on the scoresheet.

The game saw a breakneck pace to the game with the visitors piling pressure on Valencia CF Femenino in the early stages as Valencia CF tried to build up play. However, Arola made 0-1 on 12 minutes to the visitors on the counter-attack.

The visitors committed plenty of players inside their own half when defending, leaving very few gaps for Valencia CF Femenino to play into.

Valencia CF Femenino refused to back down after the opening goal through successive Salmi and Á. Torrodà efforts on goal halfway thought the first half but Noelia was equal to them to keep the scoreline at 0-1.

Persistence paid dividends when a Salmi left-footer was deflected in by an SD Eibar defender to restore parity in the contest. Alas, the visitors got back in front on the counter-attack which was finished off

Valencia CF Femenino came out in the second half looking to equalise with intensity at the heart of the game and Asun made it 2-2 for Valencia CF Femenino only eight minutes into the second half after getting on the end of a Candela cross from the right-hand side.

Valencia CF Femenino exerted further pressure on SD Eibar as they were content to sit off and wait. Dorrronsaro made a triple change trying to take the sting out of the game and disrupt VCFF attacking momentum as they were in search of the leading goal.

Pujadas came close to making it 3-2 but she could quite latch onto a Candela cross from the right-hand side. Noelia denied VCFF on 77 minutes, but two minutes, Asun found the back of the net to put VCFF in front after a link-up play between Sandra and Jansen.

C. Cubedo and Jansen made way for M Jiménez and Esther. Noelia came mighty close to scoring but Noelia managed to keep it out Candela’s effort but Jansen sealed the win right at the death.

Valencia CF Femenino came back from behind twice to beat SD Eibar in their final home fixture of the season. Valencia CF Femenino will welcome cross-town opposition Levante UD on the 6th of January next year at the Antonio Puchades.
