Valencia CF visited Agrupación Deportiva Alcorcón in the round 32 of the Copa del Rey knockout tie at a different location, Cuidad Deportiva Las Rozas having requested a move of venue due to the recent heavy snow in the Spanish capital.
The game saw a sloppy start in the early goings of the first half devoided of tempo due to the wintery weather conditions with both sides looking to dominate and settle into the game.
Koba Koindredi opened the scoring over the 10-minute mark following a textbook counter-attack after Manu Vallejo pounced on an Alcorcón defensive let-off to command a perfect counter and release Koba who beat the keeper to get off the mark for Valencia CF with his first senior goal.
Minutes later, Rubén Sobrino tried his luck brought it down neatly enough set himelf up and got the shot away from outside the area but the effort went narrowly wide of the target.
Manu Vallejo spotted the Agrupación Deportiva Alcorcón keeper off his line and gave it a try from the halfway line alas, the effort whistled over the crossbar over the half hour mark.

Valencia CF had a slow start to the second period with the first clear-cut chance going the opposition’s way forcing a save out of Cristián Rivero stop Sosa’s effort on target only two minutes into the second half.
Valencia CF had an instant response though Yunus Musah who race down the wing beating player for pace and delivering a cross to the box which was blocked away by the defence Uroš Račić caught it on the follow-up but his effort went behind for a corner kick.
Eliaquim Mangala nodded his free header over the crossbar as he could not keep it down. Neither side were in complete control of proceedings in the second period with chances at either end of the field as the tempo fell off.
Javier Gracia made a double substitution over the hour mark with Gonçalo Guedes and Hugo Guillamón being replaced by Mouctar Diakhaby and Alex Blanco respectively.
Uroš Račić came mighty close to scoring with a brilliant solo move in midfield to lash a powerful bending drive which crashed against the upright with little under twenty minutes plus stoppage time left in the tie.
The floodgates opened as Yunus Musah combined with fellow forward Alex Blanco who was denied by the Agrupación Deportiva Alcorcón keeper who pulled off a smart save.
Persistence paid dividends later on, when Manu Vallejo drilled it home from a free-kick to double Valencia CF’s lead and put the Copa del Rey knockout tie beyond doubt on 76 minutes.
Javi Gracia made yet another double substitution in the closing minutes brining on Kang In and Jason Remesseiro for Yunus Musah and Manu Vallejo looking to see the tie out. The scoreline remained unchanged and Valencia CF advanced to the last 16 of the Copa del Rey.
Valencia CF will be back in action in LaLiga on Thursday 21st of January at 7 pm kick-off time at Mestalla on Matchday 19 of LaLiga Santander.
