Match Report: Stalemate at Mestalla continues unbeaten run (0-0)

Valencia CF played versus Getafe CF at Mestalla at 6.30 pm kick-off time (CET) on matchday 28 of LaLiga Santander. At the height of Fallas festivities on Saint Patrick’s Day and ahead of Centenary Day.

Valencia CF had a slow start in the first minutes a tight affair between both sides. Jaume Doménech tipped Cabrera’s effort over the bar halfway through the first half. Moments later Mouctar Diakhaby headed it straight at the keeper.

Rodrigo Moreno crashed a great header against the right post after popping up at the back post from a corner kick in the closing minutes of the first half. The first half between Valencia CF and Getafe finished goalless with all to play for in the second half. 

Valencia CF came out in the second half looking to score and  Rodrigo had a double chance which was first blocked by the keeper as Rodrigo was trying to juke round the keeper and his second attempt was cleared off the line by Antunes.    

Valencia CF had a Guedes goal ruled out for offside in the build-up. Valencia CF grew into the game dominating for large parts of the second half. Dani Parejo blasted a powerful long-range effort over the bar with little under 15 of normal time to go.  Valencia CF kept on pushing for a goal enjoying a few chances deep into stoppage time but the game finished scoreless.     

Valencia CF will visit Sevilla FC at the Ramón Sánchez-PizJuán on the 31st of Match at 4.15 pm kick-off time on matchday 29 of LaLiga Santander.
